SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Prosecutor's Office of BiH announced today that, due to great public interest, media, analysts, and the academic and professional community in cases related to Article 145a of the Criminal Code of BiH (Inciting national, racial and religious hatred, discord and intolerance), especially in the part of paragraph 3 which prohibits public approval, denial, gross trivialization or attempts to justify genocide, crimes against humanity or war crimes, and for the sake of greater transparency towards the public, it will publish indictments and negative prosecutorial decisions (in anonymized form), with explanations from the acting prosecutors, on its official website.
"In this way, the public will have a better insight into the processing of these cases, as well as the reasons for making prosecutorial decisions.
We remind you that the mentioned cases are handled within the Department for International Legal Assistance and other criminal offenses, which has four prosecutors assigned, who receive cases through automatic case assignment.
Also, the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina considers that the recent amendments to the Criminal Code of BiH, included in Article 219b (bribery in elections and in public funded services), represent a useful tool for fighting corruption, especially that which is related to the electoral process in Bosnia and Herzegovina," the state Prosecutor's Office announced.
