Turkey Protests to Iran Over Missile Towards Its Airspace

(Patria) - Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has lodged a formal protest with Iran after a ballistic missile was launched towards Turkish airspace, reports Anadolu Agency.

During a phone call with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Arakchi, Fidan emphasized the need to avoid any actions that could lead to the escalation of the conflict.

Earlier, the Turkish Ministry of Defense announced that NATO's air defense intercepted a ballistic missile fired from Iran. The missile fell in the Dörtyol district in southern Turkey, near the Mediterranean Sea, and fortunately, there were no injuries.

We remind you that NATO shot down a missile fired from Iranian positions, which then landed in Iranian territory.
