(Patria) – Turkish police have arrested 22 people in Ankara on suspicion of being members of the Islamic State, state television TRT Haber reported, Reuters reported.
17 Iraqis and 5 Syrians were preparing to recruit more members and establish contact with the organization by May 1.
Last week, Turkish authorities arrested an ISIL member suspected of planning an attack on a World War I commemoration in Gallipoli attended by hundreds of Australians and New Zealanders, Reuters writes.
