(Patria) - A delegation of the Turkish parliamentary commission overseeing the disarmament of the banned militant group
Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) visited its imprisoned leader Abdullah Ocalan for the first time on Monday, the office of the parliament speaker announced, Reuters reported.
At the meeting in the prison on Imrali Island near Istanbul, the delegation asked Ocalan about the dissolution and disarmament of the PKK.
The delegation also inquired about the implementation of the agreement between the Syrian government and the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), the statement said.
