Turkey and Russia accepted the proposal for a sustainable ceasefire in Syria

Turkey and Russia have agreed on the proposal for a general ceasefire in Syria, reports the Turkish news agency Anadolu, Patria reports. The agreement should be in effect from midnight.

Citing sources, Anadolu reports that the two countries have reached a consensus that will be presented to the parties to the conflict, which includes extending the ceasefire established in Aleppo at the beginning of this month, to allow civilians and rebels to evacuate the city.

Russia, Iran, and Turkey stated last week that they are ready to support a peace agreement after talks in Moscow where they adopted a declaration containing the principles on which any future agreement should be based, Reuters reports.
