Turković: We are deeply shaken by the cowardly attack, we sympathize with the people of Turkey

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Deputy Chairperson of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bisera Turković, on the occasion of the attack on Istiklal Street in Istanbul, stated that the "cowardly attack on civilians is an attack on all of us".

"We are deeply shaken by the tragic attack in Istanbul. A cowardly attack on civilians is an attack on all of us. We sympathize with the brotherly people and government of the Republic of Turkey. We believe in your strength to overcome these difficult moments. Bosnia and Herzegovina is with you!", Turković wrote on Twitter.

A powerful explosion echoed this afternoon in the busy Istanbul street Istiklal, and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said that all those responsible for this vile attack will be found and prosecuted.

Erdoğan said that at least six people were killed in the explosion, including four at the scene of the explosion, and two more victims died in the hospital. At least 53 people were injured, and Erdoğan said it was too early to say with certainty, but based on initial information from the field, there is reasonable suspicion that it was an act of terrorism.
