Croatian Market: After Kaufland, Milkos products now on Billa store shelves

Sarajevo dairy Milkos, after successful cooperation with the international chain Kaufland where it has been present since April, continues to expand its operations and further penetrate the Croatian market through Billa shelves, it was announced, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

The Sarajevo dairy has returned to the market that was its most significant export market before Croatia's entry into the EU. Since then, major changes have occurred in the milk market. Russia imposed an embargo on imports from the EU, and the milk production quota in the EU was abolished. This led to an increase in the production of cheap milk and increased competition. Despite this, Milkos has returned to the Croatian market and exports the products white cheese Royal, white cheese Farma, and Creamy. They have found a place on the shelves of Kaufland and Billa through a representative for Croatia.

Thanks to this, Milkos will purchase milk in BiH and maintain a higher price compared to the competition in order to ease the burden on farmers. Alongside the agreed export of Milkos's brand Ella to China, work is also being done on obtaining permits for the export of dairy products.
