(Patria) - President Donald Trump's administration plans a significant reduction in the number of employees at the
Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and other major US spy units, the Washington Post reported, citing people familiar with the plans, Reuters reported.
The CIA plans to cut 1,200 jobs, along with thousands of others from other parts of the US
intelligence community, the newspaper reported.
Since taking office in January, Trump and billionaire Elon Musk have launched a cost-cutting campaign that has destroyed and attempted to disband various agencies, resulting in the departure of over 200,000 federal employees.
