Trump's Inaugural Address: A Golden Age for America Begins

(Patria) - Newly elected US President Donald Trump was sworn in tonight in Washington and began his second term in the White House as the 47th President of the USA.

Exactly at noon, Trump repeated the words of the oath of office, which was administered by Chief Justice John Roberts.

During his inaugural address, he called for a "revolution of common sense" and added that he would begin by signing a series of executive orders to reshape the American political landscape to his liking.

"A golden age for America begins right now. Every day of my administration, America will come first," Trump said after taking the oath.

He stated that he would do everything to restore sovereignty and security to America.

"The scales of justice will be rebalanced," Trump emphasized, adding that he would end the "vicious and violent abuse" of the Department of Justice.

He announced that he would declare a "state of emergency" on the southern border and begin the process of "returning millions of criminals and illegal immigrants back to where they came from".

He also added that his administration would declare drug cartels as terrorist organizations.

He also stated that he would order his cabinet to use the vast powers available to them to reduce the prices of goods.

He also said that he would rename the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America, as well as "take back" the Panama Canal and send astronauts to Mars.

At 78 years old, Trump is the oldest person ever inaugurated as president, surpassing Joe Biden, who was five months younger when he took the oath four years ago.

James David Vance (40) was sworn in as the 50th Vice President and the third youngest in history.
