Trump: Orderly transition on January 20

(Patria) - Following the formal confirmation of the victory of President-elect Joe Biden in the US Congress, President Donald Trump said the decision "represents the end of the greatest first term in presidential history," CNN reports.

"While I completely disagree with the outcome of the election, there will be an orderly transition on January 20," Trump said in a statement.

"I have always said we will continue our fight to ensure that only legal votes are counted. While this represents the end of the greatest first term in presidential history, it is only the beginning of our fight to make America great again," Trump said, repeating false claims about the election that prompted supporters to storm the Capitol.

Joe Biden's inauguration will be held on January 20.
