(Patria) - US President Donald Trump stated that he told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to refrain from attacking Iran, expressing optimism regarding the nuclear negotiations his administration is conducting with Tehran, AFP reported.
When asked if he told Netanyahu in their conversation not to take any actions that could disrupt diplomacy, Trump replied: "Well, I want to be honest, I did."
When asked about what he told the Israeli Prime Minister, Trump replied: "I just said I don't think it's appropriate, we are having very good talks with them."
"I told him that this would be inappropriate to do right now because we are very close to a solution.
I think they want to make a deal, and if we can make a deal, we will save many lives," Trump said.
