(Patria) - President Donald Trump stated last night that the US military carried out an attack on a Venezuelan drug cartel ship that was en route to the United States, Reuters reported.
He said three men were killed in the attack, adding that it occurred in international waters.
"This morning, at my direction, U.S. military forces conducted a SECOND kinetic strike against positively identified, extremely violent drug cartel and narco-terrorist operatives in the SOUTHCOM AOR," Trump said in a post on Truth Social.
"These extremely violent drug cartel operatives REPRESENT A THREAT to U.S. national security, foreign policy, and U.S. vital interests," Trump said.
