Trump claims he is negotiating with a 'new and reasonable regime', demands opening of Hormuz or will target power plants and other facilities

(Patria) - US President Donald Trump posted a telling message on his social network Truth Social about negotiations with Iran.

In the post, he made claims about progress in talks, but also threatened further escalation if no agreement is reached.

"The United States of America is in serious talks with a NEW AND MORE REASONABLE REGIME to end our military operations in Iran. Great progress has been made, but if for any reason an agreement is not reached soon, which it probably will be, and if the Strait of Hormuz is not immediately 'OPEN FOR BUSINESS', we will conclude our pleasant 'stay' in Iran by blowing up and completely destroying all of their power plants, oil fields and Kharg Island (and maybe all desalination plants!), which we have deliberately not 'touched' yet," Trump posted.

"That will be retaliation for our many soldiers and others whom Iran has massacred and killed during 47 years of 'REIGN OF TERROR'. Thank you for your attention. President DONALD J. TRUMP".

Although Trump earlier ordered a halt to attacks on energy facilities until April 6, the Israeli military continued to strike targets in Tehran. Today they hit a university in Tehran.
