(Patria) - US President Donald Trump returned early from the G7 summit due to the situation in the Middle East, and soon posted on the Truth Social network.
Trump stated that all residents of Tehran should evacuate.
"Iran was supposed to sign a deal. I told them to sign. What a shame, what a loss of life. Simply put - Iran cannot have nuclear weapons. I have said this over and over again. Everyone should evacuate Tehran immediately," was Trump's clear message.
In his next post, he also criticized his ally Tucker Carlson, telling him that Iran cannot have nuclear weapons.
Slightly earlier, White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt announced that Trump had left the G7 meeting early.
"President Trump had a great day at the G7, he even signed a major trade deal with the United Kingdom and Prime Minister Keir Starmer. A lot was achieved, but due to what is happening in the Middle East, President Trump will leave tonight after dinner with the heads of state," she said.
Although the White House did not provide details, many assume that this could mean that the United States will directly engage on Israel's side in the events in Iran and that there is a possibility of an attack targeting Iran's nuclear facilities.
However, it should also be taken into account that shortly before Trump's posts, information from several Western sources emerged that Trump intends to offer Iran a new deal. In this context, Trump's posts can also be characterized as creating additional pressure on the authorities in Tehran in the context of the nuclear deal.
