Trump speaks from hospital: I feel good

(Patria) - US President Donald Trump has spoken from the hospital, after doctors announced he is feeling well. Trump has contracted the coronavirus, as has his wife Melania.

"The doctors, nurses and all of the great medical people at Walter Reed Medical Center, and the equally amazing institutions who were pointed in their direction, are AMAZING! Tremendous progress has been made over the last 6 months with respect to fighting THIS PLAGUE. With their help, I am feeling well!

The President's doctor said that Trump is doing very well, breathing on his own and not receiving supplemental oxygen.

"We have monitored his cardiac function, his kidney and liver function. All are normal," said Dr. Sean Conley.

He added that the president "is not on oxygen, has no difficulty breathing or walking" this morning.

At a press conference, it was stated that the decision to transport the president to the hospital was precautionary, and that they are very pleased with his progress. Yesterday he had a mild cough and was tired, but these symptoms are now weaker.

When asked by journalists when he might be discharged from the hospital, they could not provide an answer.

However, American media are reporting, citing sources from the White House including CNN, that Trump did receive oxygen and that the next 48 hours will be crucial.
