Trump: Now it's Palestine's turn to get something good

WASHINGTON, (Patria) - Israel will pay a "higher price" in negotiations with the Palestinians, following the decision to move the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, said US President Donald Trump.

Trump added that the Palestinians will "get something good in return because now it's their turn," but did not specify what this refers to, Israeli media reported.

"If there is ever peace with the Palestinians, it's good that this was done," Trump said about moving the embassy.

We remind you that Trump made the decision in December last year to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, although Palestinians in the eastern occupied part of Jerusalem plan to house the institutions of their future independent state.

Trump added that he now understands why his predecessors did not fulfill their promise to move the US embassy to Jerusalem, and that many world leaders had called him, appealing for him not to implement his decision, but he still believed that it should have been done many years ago.

"The Israeli-Palestinian peace agreement is the hardest of all," Trump said at a political rally in West Virginia.
