Trump: War with Iran won't last long, and fuel prices will fall once it's over

Trump is facing increasing political pressure at home over the decision to launch a war against Iran, which has shaken global energy markets and destabilized the American and global economies.

He reiterated his claim that the US military has "very thoroughly" defeated Iran's, adding that the blockade of Iranian ports is "one hundred percent effective".

- Their navy is destroyed, their air force is destroyed, every element of their war machine is destroyed - Trump claims.

He also responded to a question about whether Chinese President Xi Jinping, whom he is scheduled to meet later this week, could help resolve the situation with Iran.

- No, I don't think we need any help with Iran. We will win, one way or another. We will win peacefully or in some other way. One way or another, everything will be resolved very well - Trump stated.

Ahead of his trip to China, Trump also commented on Iran's nuclear ambitions at the White House.

- If Iran had nuclear weapons, the whole world would be in trouble because they are, you know, crazy. They will not have nuclear weapons - Trump said confidently.

However, he avoided directly answering a reporter's question about whether there is a "red line" that would break the ceasefire with Iran.
