(Patria) - US President Donald Trump stated today that his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin has agreed not to target Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities and towns for a week due to the cold weather.
- I personally asked President Putin not to fire on Kyiv and other cities and towns for a week, and he agreed to that - Trump announced at a cabinet meeting, citing "extreme cold" in the region as the reason.
- It was very nice. Many said: "Don't waste the call, you won't get it." But he did it - Trump added.

The US President did not clarify when or how he conveyed this request to Putin, nor from what date the alleged "energy ceasefire" should begin.
