Trump threatens Putin with 'very serious consequences' if he does not agree to end the war

(Patria) - US President Donald Trump today threatened his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin with "very serious consequences" if he does not agree to end the war in Ukraine during their upcoming summit in Alaska.

Asked whether Russia would face consequences if Putin does not agree to end the conflict, Trump told reporters: "Yes, it will."

- It will face very serious consequences - Trump said during a speech at the Kennedy Center in Washington.

His statement came just hours after he participated in a virtual meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and other European leaders, which the US president described as "very good."

- I would rate it a 10, you know, very, very friendly - Trump said.
