(Patria) - US President Donald Trump has threatened Iran with even more devastating attacks if they do not allow oil to flow through the Strait of Hormuz.
"If Iran does anything that will stop the flow of oil within the Strait of Hormuz, the United States will hit them TWENTY TIMES HARDER than they have ever hit before.
In addition, we will easily destroy targets that will make it practically impossible for Iran to ever rebuild as a nation - Death, Fire, and Fury will rule over them - But I hope and pray that this does not happen!
This is a gift from the United States to China and all those nations that intensively use the Strait of Hormuz. I hope it is a gesture that will be greatly appreciated," Trump announced on his Truth Social network, as reported by the White House on X.
Iran previously stated that it would open the Strait of Hormuz to countries that expel the ambassadors of Israel and the USA.
The closure of the Strait of Hormuz has caused disruptions in the oil market, and yesterday the barrel was over $110.
The price had fallen to $85 after Trump's statement that the war could end soon.
