(Patria) - US President Donald Trump signed an executive order giving the United States the authority to impose tariffs on goods from countries supplying Cuba with oil.
According to the document, TASS reported last night, published on the White House website, "an additional ad valorem tariff may be imposed on the import of goods that are the product of a foreign country that directly or indirectly sells or otherwise supplies Cuba with oil."
The exact tariff rate has not yet been specified.
The decree cites cooperation between Cuba and Russia as one of the reasons for this measure.
