US President Donald Trump has dismissed all ambassadors worldwide who were appointed during Barack Obama's term. This concerns more than 80 diplomats whose successors have not been appointed, write world media, reports Patria.
Significant changes are also expected in the security sector. The US has thus lost its ambassadors in Germany, Canada, and China. US Ambassador to BiH Maureen Cormack took office in January 2015.
She visited the US for consultations a few weeks ago.
The US Embassy in Sarajevo confirmed to N1 that Cormack is a career diplomat and her resignation has not been requested.
- Therefore, she remains in Bosnia and Herzegovina and will continue to work as before with all levels of government, focusing on the rule of law, preserving the Dayton Agreement, and the country's progress - the US Embassy in BiH stated.
