(Patria) - President of the United States Donald Trump announced that he has cancelled planned military strikes on Iran, stating that negotiations on a possible agreement have entered their final phase.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said that talks with the Iranian leadership have been elevated to the highest level and have received approval from key parties, leading to the decision to halt the attacks.
According to his words, the negotiations involve the US, Israel, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Turkey, Pakistan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Egypt, and other countries, while Iran is not specifically listed as a signatory at this stage.
Trump also emphasized that the US naval blockade in the Strait of Hormuz will remain in effect until the agreement is finalized and signed, and that the details and location of the signing will be announced later.
