(Patria) - Newly elected US President Donald Trump announced yesterday that he has chosen his former intelligence chief Richard Grenell as presidential envoy for special missions, Reuters reported.
Trump announced the move on his Truth Social Media platform, saying Grenell would "work on some of the hottest spots around the world, including Venezuela and North Korea".
Grenell was previously mentioned as a possible Trump choice for Secretary of State or another high-ranking position in the US administration.
In the Balkans, some believed that, since Grenell was linked to Serbia's leadership, he would be tasked with dealing with this part of the world.
