The newly elected US President Donald Trump stated on Saturday that he will nominate billionaire and owner of the professional basketball team Houston Rockets, Tilman Fertitta as ambassador of the United States of America to Italy.
Fertitta is the chairman and owner of Landry's, which manages a large group of restaurants, hotels, and casinos across the United States.
In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump praised the 67-year-old businessman from Texas as an "accomplished businessman" and philanthropist, Reuters reported.
