(Patria) - The US administration opposes Iran charging fees for passage through the Strait of Hormuz, said US President Donald Trump, TASS reported.
"We want it free. We don't want fees. It's an international waterway," he said, answering reporters' questions at the White House.
"No ship has been able to pass without our approval, and the Navy has done an incredible job," Trump added.
According to Trump, Tehran is losing a lot of money because of this.
Trump assumes that Iran is "losing $500 million a day" this way.
