Trump leaves hospital: I feel better than 20 years ago

(Patria) – US President Donald Trump said he "feels very good" and will leave the hospital in the afternoon.

– I am leaving the great Walter Reed Medical Center today at 6:30 PM, Trump announced on his Twitter profile.

He added that he feels "better than 20 years ago".

Let us recall, the US President was transferred to the military hospital on Friday evening, a few hours after the White House announced that he and his wife Melania had tested positive for Covid-19.

In the hospital, Trump was treated with the experimental antiviral drug remdesivir, as well as the steroid dexamethasone, which is used for more severe clinical pictures of the disease caused by Covid-19. The medical team caring for the US President also had to include oxygen therapy on a couple of occasions due to a drop in blood oxygen levels.

Before being discharged from the hospital, Trump told Americans: "Don't be afraid of Covid. Don't let it dominate your life."
