(Patria) - US President-elect Donald Trump has told advisers he wants to travel to China after taking office, the Wall Street Journal reported on Saturday, citing people familiar with the discussions, Reuters reports.
Trump has expressed interest in traveling to China within his first hundred days in office,
the report said, citing one of the people.
Trump's inauguration is on Monday, and Chinese state news agencies reported on Friday that Chinese Vice President Han Zheng will attend, as Beijing is ready to strengthen cooperation.
Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping, through their representatives, have discussed a personal
meeting, and one option is for the new US president to invite the Chinese leader to the United States, the WSJ added.
