(Patria) - US President Donald Trump addressed reporters at the NATO summit in The Hague, where he praised the US airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, calling them "massive, precise, and very successful".
– It was called destruction. No other army in the world could do it. This incredible exercise has paved the way for peace and a ceasefire agreement – Trump said.
When asked about the next steps towards Iran and the possible relocation of nuclear material, Trump replied that it was not possible because it was "very difficult to move".
Speaking about Russian President Vladimir Putin, Trump stated that he believes Putin has territorial ambitions beyond Ukraine, but that at the same time he "wants to settle". He rejected Putin's alleged offer of help regarding Iran.
Trump also commented on the meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, which he described as "very nice" and said he believes Zelensky also wants an end to the conflict.
He also announced possible talks with Iran as early as next week:
– Maybe we will sign an agreement. I don't know. What I am asking for is clear – no nuclear weapons. And now we have destroyed it – Trump said.
