(Patria) - Former US President Donald Trump believes that the Israeli lobby was the most influential in Washington 15 years ago, but today it is far from its former power "because of some Democratic names".
In an interview with Fox News, Trump spoke about Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip and US-Israeli relations, emphasizing that Israel "must win the war in Gaza and finish the job quickly".
Stating that what Israel experienced on October 7 has been forgotten, he said that these attacks should be remembered and that Israel should be strong "as it was before" in American politics.
- Israel must finish this job (in Gaza) quickly and strongly, and return to life because it has lasted too long. They must win and finish the job - said the Republican politician.
On the other hand, he emphasized that the Israeli lobby was the most influential in Washington 15 years ago, but today it is far from its former power "because of some Democratic names".
Blaming Senate Majority Leader, Democrat Chuck Schumer, who previously targeted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and stated that elections should be held in Israel, Trump said:
- They (the Israeli lobby) do not have the supporters they once had. Even Schumer is acting like a Palestinian."
