Trump and wife test positive for Covid-19

(Patria) – US President Donald Trump and his wife Melania Trump have tested positive for Covid-19, Reuters news agency reported.

Trump announced this on his Twitter profile, as well as that the couple will self-isolate and begin the recovery process.

This news followed the announcement that Trump's advisor and close associate Hope Hicks also tested positive for the coronavirus.

Hicks regularly travels with Trump, and was thus on Air Force One with him when they traveled to Ohio for the presidential debate on Tuesday, as well as to Minnesota on Wednesday.

Trump, who is regularly tested for the coronavirus, has often traveled and participated in rallies with large numbers of people in recent weeks as part of his election campaign, despite warnings from health experts.
