SARAJevo (Patria) - President Donald Trump, who has tested positive for coronavirus, has had a fever for hours, a source told CNN. As confirmed by the White House, Trump will be moved to the national military hospital. It is stated that this is a precautionary measure.
"President Trump remains in good spirits, has mild symptoms and is working all day," said White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany, reports Index.hr.
"Trump will soon be transferred to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center - Out of an abundance of caution and on the recommendation of his doctors and medical experts, the President will be working from the presidential offices at Walter Reed over the next few days. President Trump appreciates the great support he and the First Lady are receiving," McEnany said.
Trump is being given an antibody cocktail that is in clinical trials but has not yet been officially approved, AFP reports.
This is an experimental treatment of synthetic antibodies for COVID-19, said Trump's doctor Sean Conley, adding that Trump, although tired, is in good spirits.
"He is being evaluated by a team of experts and together we will make recommendations to the President and the First Lady regarding the next best steps," Conley said.
Trump is 74 years old, has high blood pressure, and is overweight, which places him in a high-risk group.
Recall, Trump announced on Twitter early Friday morning that he had tested positive for coronavirus, which caused a wave of reactions around the world. First Lady Melania Trump has also tested positive.
