(Patria) - US President Donald Trump stated last night that he believes Hamas is ready for "lasting PEACE" based on a recent statement issued by the group, Reuters reported.
In a post on his social media network Truth Social, Trump called on Israel to "immediately stop bombing Gaza" to allow for the safe and swift extraction of hostages, saying the current situation is "too dangerous" for such operations.
Trump stated that talks are underway regarding the details that should be worked out in a potential agreement.
He said the issue extends beyond Gaza, describing it as a "long-sought PEACE in the Middle East".
