Trump received an invitation to visit Russia

(Patria) - US President Donald Trump received an invitation to visit Russia for a meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin in Alaska in August, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said on Sunday in an interview with TASS.

"Of course, an invitation was extended to President Trump to visit the Russian Federation in Anchorage," he said, commenting on the statement by Russian President Vladimir Putin, who, after meeting with Trump in Anchorage, proposed that the next meeting be held in Moscow.

However, according to Ryabkov, there has been no practical development of this idea yet.
"As with other platforms for communication between the Russian and US presidents, our position remains firm: the substantive aspect should come first, and then an agreement on the venue."
