(Patria) - Donald Trump will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky today. The Republican presidential candidate announced the meeting at his Trump Tower estate in New York, Reuters reported.
Zelensky is visiting the United States to attend the United Nations General Assembly.
Trump's decision to meet with Zelensky came after days in which campaign officials and people close to the former president indicated that such a meeting was unlikely.
In Washington, Zelensky has already met with President Joseph Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, who have pledged continued support for Ukraine in the war with Russia.
