Trump could be released from hospital on Monday

(Patria) – President Donald Trump is recovering well and could be released from hospital as early as Monday, his doctors suggested.

Trump has since released several video messages from the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where he is being treated for Covid-19 infection, to tell the public that he is recovering well:

- This has been a very interesting journey. I have learned a lot about Covid-19, he said via Twitter.

A return to the White House would help Trump regain a sense of 'everything is okay' and focus on the election campaign.

However, Reuters writes that Trump (74) is being treated with dexamethasone, a steroid typically used in more severe cases. The therapy also includes remdesivir, which the president has been receiving for the third day.

White House physician, Dr. Sean P. Conley, stated on Sunday that Trump's condition was worse than he had previously admitted; the president had a high fever on Friday morning, and due to low blood oxygen levels, he was given oxygen therapy, after which his condition began to improve.  

Several attendees at the White House ceremony on September 26, where new federal judge Amy Coney Barrett was nominated, have tested positive for the coronavirus, including two Republican senators whose votes will be essential for her appointment, Reuters reports.
