Troika's MPs in BiH House of Representatives Respond to EU: No Negotiations with Destroyers of the Constitutional Order!

(Patria) - MPs from the Troika parties (SDP, Our Party, NiP) in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH responded to calls from the EU for de-escalation of the situation in the country through negotiations and the amnesty of Milorad Dodik.

The statement in full:

"Regarding the calls and offers that the coup d'état and threat to peace caused by the gross assault on the constitutional and legal order of Bosnia and Herzegovina should be resolved through talks or negotiations, we are obliged to reiterate our previously stated positions, and above all, the position that there are no negotiations regarding respect for the Constitution, laws, the Court, the Prosecutor's Office, and other institutions.

There can be no talks on any topic with those who are carrying out a coup d'état, blocking the work of institutions, misusing public funds, and threatening a return to the 1990s. For us, only those individuals who respect the rule of law can and are our interlocutors.
 
The international community – the USA, the EU and its member states, the UK, Turkey, and NATO – has offered a clear and unambiguous response. Their messages about the need to respect territorial integrity, sovereignty, the constitution, and the rule of law were very clear and unambiguous. We highly appreciate that individual actors have decided to impose sanctions on Milorad Dodik and other fugitives from BiH justice. We also appreciate their readiness to expand the list of sanctioned persons in the coming period, as well as to consider additional measures, among which we consider freezing assets particularly useful. We call on other international actors to follow their example without delay.

At the same time, we take this opportunity to send a message to individuals within the technocratic structures of certain EU institutions, who, through the so-called 'de-escalation proposal,' suggest that Dodik be amnestied from criminal prosecution in exchange for his repentance and withdrawal of all unconstitutional laws: you do not have and will not have partners in us for this.

Such ideas are in complete conflict with European values and practices, with the principles of the rule of law and the laws of BiH, and for this reason, we consider them absolutely unacceptable and, worst and most dangerous of all, encouraging for future separatist activities. We strongly state that the position or advancement of anyone within any international institution through the creation of a false semblance of normality and 'crisis resolution' through 'equalizing' all parties is not and will never be more valuable than the protection of peace, stability, constitutionality, and legality of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
 
Our priority commitment remains the fulfillment of EU priorities, and we express our readiness for accelerated action on this issue the moment the work of the Council of Ministers is unblocked and the blockades by SNSD ministers, which we are witnessing, are prevented. The good news is that the first step towards ensuring the full functionality of the Council of Ministers of BiH can be taken in the next few days, and we call on the Chairperson of the Council of Ministers, Borjana Krišto, to do so in accordance with the Law on the Council of Ministers of BiH by appointing the missing Minister of Security.

Once again, we express our support for the judicial and security agencies of Bosnia and Herzegovina in carrying out their tasks, so that the current crisis can be resolved as soon as possible, exclusively by respecting the decisions of the BiH judicial system and the legal obligations of these institutions. We will direct all our resources to gathering support so that all actors of the international community, as well as their institutions present in BiH, in the interest of the security and stability of the state, provide full support to domestic judicial and security institutions."
