Three defendants in Sky case plead guilty by agreement

(Patria) - In the case codenamed “STAZA”, three defendants, after reviewing the prosecution's evidence, in the presence of their lawyers, fully pleaded guilty by agreement to criminal offenses related to organized crime and illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs.

For the defendants, in accordance with the plea agreement, the following sentences have been proposed:

1. Defendant Rašević Milan, aka “Mića”, born in 1996 from Foča, to a prison sentence of 1 year and confiscation of items used to commit the criminal offense.
2. Defendant Mijović Miljan, aka “Gluvi”, born in 1985 from Trebinje, to a prison sentence of 3 years, as well as confiscation of items used to commit the criminal offense.
3. Defendant Miljanić Mišo, aka “Platina”, born in 1986 from Trebinje, to a prison sentence of 1 year and 6 months, a fine of 10,000 KM, as well as confiscation of items used to commit the criminal offense.

All defendants, by pleading guilty by agreement, have committed to testifying in the case codenamed “Staza”, which is being conducted against 11 other defendants.

The proposed sentences are in accordance with the role and responsibility of the defendants in committing the criminal offense. They are accused of participating in the smuggling of larger quantities of narcotics, in the area of Trebinje, Foča, and other cities, as part of an organized criminal group.

By pleading guilty by agreement, the defendants waive their right to a trial and their right to appeal the verdict that the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina will issue based on the agreement.

The plea agreements have been forwarded to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which has accepted the agreements. This is the second plea agreement in cases with evidence from SKY and Anom applications. In these two cases, a total of four defendants have pleaded guilty so far.
