Three Bosniaks beaten in Prijedor, police remain silent

Last night in Prijedor, in front of the Kozara bakery, three Bosniaks were beaten. A group of Serbs asked them: “Are you balije, where are you from?”, then attacked and brutally beat the young men, reports the Patria news agency. 

After they merely smiled, they were attacked out of the blue and sustained serious bodily injuries. The photos show Almir Okić, one of the injured.

“For your commitment to the future to be taken seriously by us Bosniaks, Mr. Mayor, it is time to punish these thugs?! And it is time for our political leadership to finally do their job. Because this is just one in a series of attacks on Bosniaks in Prijedor this summer. I have also informed the President of the City Assembly, Sead Jakupović, about this, and Mr. President, I expect you to take action, BECAUSE THIS HAS BECOME UNBEARABLE,” wrote Omer Redžić, the imam of the Čaršijska Mosque, on his Facebook profile.
