Trivić: More than 20 arrested for peaceful protests, and no one for the murder of Dragičević

BANJA LUKA, (Patria) - Citizens protesting are not guilty, but rather those who have not solved the murder of David Dragičević, stated Jelena Trivić from PDP on an extraordinary press conference in Banja Luka today.

Head of the PDP parliamentary group in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, Perica Bundalo, and his deputy, Trivić, rejected accusations that the party is behind the "Justice for David" protests in Banja Luka, where citizens demand that the authorities reveal who murdered the 21-year-old young man David Dragičević in March last year.

Trivić stated that the arrest of citizens who protested in Krajina Square represents a blow to the constitutional order of Republika Srpska, which guarantees peaceful assembly and freedom of speech.

"The leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has violated the Constitution of Republika Srpska, in articles that guarantee freedom of thought and the right to publicly comment on the work of public institutions," said Jelena Trivić. She added that the number of people arrested for the murder of David Dragičević is zero, while the number of people arrested for peaceful protests is more than 20, emphasizing that citizens have not broken a single bench or window in more than 280 days of protests.
