SARAJEVO, (Patria) - It seems that this July Saturday will pass in a media saga about Bosnia and Herzegovina's NATO path, which was "brewed" by the Russian ambassador to BiH Peter Ivancov, and members of the BiH Presidency and other political actors actively joined in.
After Ivancov stated that BiH has no path to NATO, Komšić replied that he should not interfere in internal decisions and that it is not his concern, while Bakir Izetbegović, leader of SDA, said that BiH is moving towards NATO whether the Russian ambassador likes it or not.
Milorad Dodik, as expected, added fuel to the fire in his own style, siding with Ivancov with a message that BiH has no decision on NATO membership because RS will not allow it.
The second round of this high-level political media thriller was opened by Komšić's response to Dodik.
"We didn't have a decision on the MAP ten years ago, and then we made it, we didn't have a decision on the Defense Review, and then we made it, we didn't have a decision on registering military property, and then we made it, we didn't have a decision on the ANP/Reform Program, and then we made it. We will also make a decision on NATO membership. Dodik will participate in it again. Let him be as much against NATO as he wants privately, as long as he signs the decisions as he has done so far," Komšić told Dodik.
