(Patria) - In the early morning hours, around 4:30 AM, a serious traffic accident occurred on the M-17 highway in Ševaš Njive (Žitomislići – Počitelj section), in which three people died, while two others were injured.
As confirmed by Ilijana Miloš, spokesperson for the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, three passenger motor vehicles were involved in the accident.
"Three people died, and two were injured. The extent of the injuries is currently unknown," she said.
An investigation at the scene is being conducted by members of the Criminal Police Sector, with the assistance of the Čapljina Police Department.
Traffic on this section of the road has been completely suspended.
"Due to a traffic accident on the M-17 highway, in Ševaš Njive (Žitomislići-Počitelj), traffic is suspended. The alternative route is Buna-Pijesci-Domanovići-Čapljina," announced BIHAMK.
