They need our help: Grandmothers Zejna and Hajra's only meal is from the soup kitchen

The citizens' association "Together for Our City" from Mostar has launched a campaign to collect aid for two elderly women, Zejna and Hajrija Čagalj, who live alone, writes the news agency Patria.

The members of the Association accidentally came across these two elderly women, who live alone and whose only guaranteed meal is the one they receive at the soup kitchen, while surveying the area and distributing wood and food to socially vulnerable families in Mostar.

- Then came the first reactions. Anel Bojčić, a member of the Association, provided the grandmothers with two cubic meters of wood.

Nijaz Marić, from whom Anel ordered the wood for the grandmothers, immediately donated two cubic meters of wood himself to another family with two children with special needs, Nermin Mehić, president of the Association, told us.

All those who wish to help Zejna and Hajra Čagalj can do so through the Association or by calling 061/609-892. The Association members gave the grandmothers a mobile phone so that all interested parties can get in touch with them.
