Verification of distance of betting shops from schools in Tuzla requested

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Omer Berbić, councilor of Our Party in the Tuzla City Council, demands an urgent inspection of the distance of betting shops from schools and religious buildings.

- The law stipulates that betting shops must be at least 100 meters away from schools and religious buildings. This is not being respected in Tuzla. It is visible to the naked eye and through various applications. The law also prohibits minors from gambling. However, this is happening and addiction is beginning to develop. It is clear that this law alone is not enough and that as a society we must do everything to prevent minors from coming into contact with gambling. The least we can do is what the law obliges us to do – move betting shops away from them. That is why I have requested that the inspection services get involved and resolve this issue, said Berbić.
