The Cantonal Court in Sarajevo has ordered a one-month detention for Ljubo Seferović, Vasvija Sejdović and Bekrija Seferović. They are suspected of the criminal offense of murdering Dženan Memić, i.e. attempted murder of Alisa Mutap and obstruction of evidence. The father of Dženan Memić continues to express doubt about these circumstances. He wants the case to be taken over by the Federal Prosecutor's Office, N1 reports, as carried by the Patria news agency.
Merima Čubro knows Ljubo Seferović – the suspect in the murder of Dženan Memić, who has confessed to the crime. In the area where they stay near Velika aleja in Ilidža, where everything unfolded on that fateful February night, she was the only one who testified about what she knows for N1.
“He sold that van so no one would know what they hit with, and they told me not to tell anyone, not to report it to anyone. They told me not to tell the police or the TV stations if they come, or anyone. They told me not to report him; they would think I reported him to the police,” says Merima Čubro.
At the place where they stayed permanently or occasionally, we did not find any members of the families of the suspects Seferović or Sejdović. Apart from those who gave statements for N1, we also spoke with individuals who did not want to appear before our camera but confirmed to us that Vasvija Sejdović told them that very night what they are charged with.
The person who refused to give a statement is actually a witness for the Sarajevo Prosecutor's Office. On that fateful night, Ljubo and Vasvija allegedly spent the night at her house, telling her what happened. At the hearing two nights ago to determine detention measures, prosecutor Amina Ruždić read out a detailed description of the criminal offenses.
According to their investigation, everything happened when Ljubo Seferović, while driving and trying to take a CD, hit Dženan and Alisa with a van. The Prosecutor's Office further indicates that Ljubo and Vasvija got out of the van and struck Dženan and Alisa with a blunt object, i.e., a weapon, then fled and sold the disputed vehicle, which was later found in Zenica.
Bekrija, Ljubo Seferović's father, according to the prosecutor's findings, tried to remove traces from the van in April to conceal the damage. Everything was examined in the prosecutor's evidentiary process, and the suspects were identified in April. However, Dženan Memić's father continues to express doubt about the work of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office. He says he has new details that he will not share with the media but exclusively with federal prosecutors.
“I submitted a petition to the Federal Prosecutor's Office and expect them to take over the case. We requested through the petition that they take over the case from the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office. Based on our information, what they have presented to the public is unbelievable. The whole city is calling me, friends are calling – everyone says this is ridiculous, that this is not a normal situation at all,” is the comment of Muriz Memić, father of Dženan Memić.
We remind you, in the case that has been followed by numerous controversies since February, three suspects were arrested two days ago. The only witness is Dženan's girlfriend Alisa Mutap, who subsequently provided a medical certificate of amnesia. Everything was initially characterized as a traffic accident, then murder and attempted murder, and the entire case also mentions Alisa's ex-boyfriend, who allegedly threatened Dženan and her.
