Truck transport: Two tons of drugs seized in BiH in four operations

(Patria) - The quantity of drugs discovered in a truck in Gradiška has not yet been determined, and it concerns 30 packages weighing several hundred kilograms. The narcotic drug marijuana-skunk was intended to be smuggled into Germany. According to the BiH Prosecutor's Office, this quantity would reach a price of over 2 million KM in EU countries.

- Two persons have been deprived of liberty and will be handed over to the acting prosecutor who will, after questioning the suspects, make a decision on further activities in the case – it was announced from the BiH Prosecutor's Office.

The State Prosecutor's Office notes that this is the fourth largest seizure of the narcotic drug marijuana - "skunk" in a quantity exceeding 200 kilograms in the past 12 months.

We remind you that the largest drug seizure ever in BiH occurred on October 8 last year, when a truck with 900 kg of marijuana-skunk, which had entered BiH from Montenegro, was stopped at the Krupac site in East Sarajevo. It was accompanied by another truck and a motor vehicle. 

After the seizure of narcotics, it was announced that the shipment was intended for the illegal drug market in BiH. The estimated value exceeds 2 million KM, while the price on the illegal market in EU countries is many times higher.
