Tragedy in Novi Pazar: Four children died in a fire, parents severely injured

(Patria) - Four children died in a fire, while their parents were injured and are in the Intensive Care Unit of the General Hospital in Novi Pazar, it was confirmed to Euronews Serbia by the police.

The fire occurred this morning around 7 AM, and units of the fire service, emergency medical services, and police immediately arrived at the scene.

As Euronews has learned, all four children died at the scene, so doctors could only confirm their deaths.

The father of the deceased children is severely injured, with burns of the second, third, and fourth degree covering 45 percent of his body.

The injured woman is also in serious condition, with burns of the second and third degree covering 18 percent of her body.

As eyewitnesses told A1, two random passers-by spotted the fire and, together with neighbors, rushed to help, but could not get close enough due to the intense flames.

In addition to firefighters, police officers also rushed to help.
