Tragedy in Herzegovina: 11-month-old boy from Konjic died en route to SKB Mostar

(Patria) - An eleven-month-old baby from Konjic died on September 7 on the way to the University Clinical Hospital (SKB) Mostar, it was confirmed for Bljesak.info from that health institution.

Parents first sought help at the Konjic Health Center, from where the baby was sent to the Konjic General Hospital.

Doctors then referred them to SKB Mostar, but they did not have an ambulance, so the parents drove to Mostar in their own car.

In the meantime, they managed to contact the police, who escorted them to Mostar with flashing lights, from where an ambulance from the Stari Grad Health Center came to their aid.

The Mostar team brought the child to SKB Mostar, but doctors could not help him.

- We can confirm that an eleven-month-old boy from Konjic was brought to the CUM SKB Mostar on Sunday without signs of life. Doctors tried to resuscitate him, but unfortunately, it was unsuccessful - stated SKB Mostar.
