
Lifeless bodies of a man and a woman were found yesterday around noon near the village of Lipnik, located about twenty kilometers from Sanski Most, confirmed cantonal prosecutor Vildana Dedić, reports krajina.ba, according to the Patria News Agency.
The bodies were found under a tree in a nearby forest, and the police arrived at the scene after being alerted by locals. According to Dedić, the deceased are a male individual identified by initials B.P. (67) and a female individual identified by initials B.J. (29), and it is presumed to be a murder-suicide.
“We are currently investigating this case, and more details will be known after the autopsy of the bodies,” said Dedić.
Unofficially, we have learned that a pistol was found at the scene, and according to this information, the man first killed the woman and then committed suicide.
Also, unofficially, a red rose was found next to the bodies, and it is assumed that these individuals were in a romantic relationship.
According to police information, both individuals are residents of Bačka Palanka, Republic of Serbia, and B.P. is originally from the village of Lipnik, where he owned a family house that he visited from time to time. The motives for this event are currently unknown.
