(Patria) - A young man V.G. from Gacko died on Sunday, around 11:30 AM in the Bileća village of Pađeni from an electric shock, confirmed by the Trebinje Police Department.
A police patrol from Bileća immediately went to the scene after receiving the report for an investigation led by the duty prosecutor of the District Public Prosecutor's Office in Trebinje, and it was determined that the electric shock occurred due to the connection of a work machine – a crane and a high-voltage power line that was nearby, but the unfortunate young man was not operating the crane.
"It was determined that T.K. was operating the crane when this work machine came into contact with the high-voltage power line, which caused an electric shock that killed V.G. from Gacko," the police announced, without specifying how the deceased came into contact with the electrical circuit.
According to unofficial information, however, the unfortunate young man died when T.K. was lifting a metal container with a crane that unintentionally came into contact with a high-voltage power line, and V.G. was holding the container, thus connecting to the electrical circuit through the metal container.
The District Public Prosecutor's Office in Trebinje qualified the event as the criminal offense of Causing General Danger under Article 394 of the Criminal Code of Republika Srpska, and the duty prosecutor ordered an autopsy of the unfortunate young man's body, which is being performed today at the Trebinje Mortuary.
